So, How’d We Do?

Rather than make new years resolutions this year, we flipped it and reversed it by making a list of things that we wanted to accomplish by the end of 2010.  We guess you could also say that we just waited eleven months to make 2010’s resolutions. We’re either really on top of things or total procrastinators depending on how you look at it.

No matter what, we love making a good list almost as much as we love scratching items off that list.

There are no Baberham Lincolns on our list – you’ll remember it was just made up of things to get done around the house. We just couldn’t resist a good “schwing!” moment – makes the list worth blogging about.

So here’s what we wanted to get done:

  • Hang crown molding in our kitchen – or at least the strips of crown molding that have been laying in our carport for months.
  • Plant our bulbs for Spring, also laying around the carport (noticing a trend?)
  • Repair the sawed-off shelf above our slightly too-tall new refrigerator.
  • Finish up the caulking and trim-work around our slowly updated kitchen.
  • Clean up the caulk and trim-work around the built-in office shelves (more on those later).
  • Repair the siding on the back porch – melted by one of Chad’s bonfires cook-outs.
  • One month later our list looks like this. Almost completed, if only we had finished up the trimwork around our office shelves.

We definitely made a dent in these unfinished projects. If we have any new years resolution it would be not to begin something new until we finish the last project.  Guess that means no new bathroom until we get those shelves looking – “schwing” worthy.
