You guys have seen that we read a lot of magazines to stay inspired by the casa. We also watch a lot of HGTV… and I mean a lot. So much we wish we could just pay Time Warner for ESPN, HGTV and whatever channel it is that plays Law and Order marathons all weekend.
We’re now on the hunt for some great home design books and think we’ve found the winners. Each of these four books has a very different take on design, meaning together they’ll make up a great mini-library.
The first, Domino’s Book of Decorating is a primer on the nuts and bolts of decorating for those of us who didn’t major in interiors.
The Recycled Home gives readers tips on repurposing salvaged items for a unique style that doesn’t scream garage sale.
Pottery Barn’s Book of Outdoor Spaces. Just look at this cover, need we say more?
Last but not least, the ode to small spaces. No matter how big your house is, there is always that small space somewhere that could use some design love. We have a feeling this book could do wonders for our 1800 sq. ft.
Not-so-subtle hint: these would all make excellent holiday gifts!
